'Broken Over Time' is a mixed media piece that is inspired by the affects aging can have on...well, just about everything. At the time I painted this I was in my 50's and although in my mind, I believe I should be able to do some of the things that I did when I was in my 20's, my body knows better. Time takes its toll on everything. Slowly, over time, things just start to break down - that's just how it goes. But, I do believe we have a choice in how we respond to the toll that time takes on us and our response is key to how we live in a world where everything is broken over time.
